Nishikawa Takanori no Ienomi with BUCK-TICK - English Subbed

Cardcaptor Sakurai
Happy Halloween, everyone! For today my post won't be about Halloween though. BUT, like my last Halloween post, it will be about subtitles.

A little background: last May 2014, Nishikawa Takanori (professionally known as T.M. Revolution) interviewed BT's Sakurai and Imai for the promotion of their new material. Oh yes, Taka-chan-chan strikes again. It was only after four months that the whole video was subbed and posted in dailymotion thanks to ikonokrusm. For those of you who lived under a rock like me, this post is perfect for you~!

Disclaimer: I do not own the video nor do I own the subs and translation of this video. Also, it was not my fault if the first few minutes would be about Taka-chan-chan talking about his groin area.

Kuchizuke - English Subbed

Disclaimer:
Before anything else, I just want to inform you that I am not a professional translator. This work of mine is purely done out of fun and educational purposes. I did this translation two years ago when I was still studying Japanese. There have been many English translations of Kuchizuke on the internet ever since it was released, however I did this translation to practice my Japanese skills. For more information on how I've translated the song, please do read my translation notes below the cut. Secondly, I also want to inform you even though I've translated this to English, English is not my first language. If I have any inaccuracies or any grammatical errors, please do forgive me. If you have comments or violent reactions, please do leave a comment on the comment section.  Lastly, I do not own this song and it belongs to BUCK-TICK.

2015 Re-issues

Well, well, well ... I dunno where to start, actually. So many things happened and then I'm back here. If you are like me who lived under a rock for the past few months, then this post is for you . In this post, I will mainly focus on Victor Entertainment's 2015 Re-issue of BT-related works. They have released videos of sneak previews of the re-issues. It's enough to get fans excited!

Buck-Tick: Rest Rooms Documentary

BT after two decades of music
Years ago, when Buck-Tick was celebrating their 20th Anniversary, they gave us a precious gem: Rest Rooms Documentary. Not only did this Documentary focus on each member individually, it also features their experiences during the Parade Tour in 2007 and artists that inspired them and also artists they inspired. At first it was released only in Japanese, but with the help of  sexualxxxxx_sub, we are now able to watch the documentary with English subtitles. I hop you enjoy the documentary~ :D

BT Halloween Special

On the 13th Floor with Buck-Tick
Happy Halloween, everyone! As for our fave band, BT fits in easily with Halloween as they can be really  dark and death-oriented. But for today, I would like to share a clip that maybe very interesting for today's occasion.

To "Die" and Beyond - Interpretation

Lyrical Interpretation

Disclaimer: Before I am going to discuss the song meaning, I would like to remind the readers that the text that would be written in this section is completely my interpretation from Cayce’s translation of the lyrics. I may have mistakes or inaccurate interpretation (since I wasn't the one who translated the lyrics) that you may want to point out and if there is, please do leave a comment below. If you have other ideas on the song, please do leave a comment below. The song “die” is open for discussion.

BT is very direct on this song. The song “die” simply means “(to) die” and it is clearly very blunt that it is a song about dying. At the start of the song, the singer (Sakurai) was still alive and when it ends, he dies. It is rather a fantasy-like process of death and going beyond.

Random News Flash: OHIMAIBABY! BE BOP A BABY~!

"I can write pages about natto and eggs, but about my own first child, no words will come out."       -Imai Hisashi
Awww. He can make a song for his first child, like Sakurai did with his daughter.

Here's "Rendezvous" written for their 20th Anniversary and about a father's love on their child:

Confessions: My story of being a BiTch

CONFESSIONS OF A LATE-BLOOMER BT FAN

When did you first heard of BT?
Back when I was in my Junior Year in High School, my sister was able to download Kaori Yuki's "Die". I never really understood the story, but I read that it was a doujin of BUCK-TICK. My first reaction was, "What the hell is with this band name? It's weird." BUT, I never checked the band out. This realization came upon me 7 years later. Damn.

Yumemiru Uchuu Live

Dreaming Universe
I know everyone is excited for the new album coming out this mid-September. For a sneak peak, here's a live version of Yumemiru Uchuu. For those who didn't know, this track is supposed to be the new single that was to be released last may, however, Elise no Tameni proved to be more catchy. nonetheless, the band members decided that they will make it as the b-side of Elise. Well, the album is named after this song. It's a great song, but it is greater live. Enjoy~!
